BEREAVEMENT COUNSELING

Everyone comes to terms with death in their own way.

We'll help you find your way.

WHAT'S IT ABOUT?

When someone dies, it's... a big change. You need help to:

  • manage the shock

  • release emotions, anger, fear

  • realize the reality

  • start untying old bonds…

  • ...and find a new place in life.

It doesn't look like it now, but it has an end. Everyone comes to terms with death in their own way. We'll help you find your way.

OUR PROMISE

EVERYTHING WE DO IS TESTED.

We base bereavement counseling on practical experience: we have prepared and experienced many farewells with clients and already know what works.

WE WON'T FORCE YOU TO DO ANYTHING.

With us, you don't do anything you don't want to, or anything that would traumatize you. But we're also happy to give you advice and recommendations: we don't want to just echo your thoughts; we're not afraid to actively step in and help.

EVERYTHING WE DISCUSS IS CONFIDENTIAL.

We don't put any information into medical records, nor do we provide it to health insurance companies or anyone else.

WE'LL HELP YOU FUNCTION IN EVERYDAY LIFE.

Everything we do is focused on practical benefits. We try to avoid over-analyzing things with psychological jargon.

GRIEF EVENTUALLY ENDS.

Grief has an end, and the sun will shine again. Just like every child learns to walk (even if it doesn't seem like it at first), every grieving person eventually finds their way to function in life again.

OUR METHODS

TASK MODEL (WILLIAM WORDEN)

The task is first to accept the loss as reality, then to experience the grief, adapt to the world without our deceased loved one, and finally to emotionally detach from them and reinvest your feelings elsewhere.

RITUALS

Our funeral ceremonies are mainly based on rituals. They allow you to acknowledge the death and begin to grieve. But even in life after loss, you need to build rituals that help you. Whether it's your own rituals that ease the longing during the day, or those that relate to your beloved deceased – for example, when they would have celebrated another birthday, during Christmas, or All Souls' Day.

ART THERAPY

Writing, drawing, or even modeling or cutting things out might seem a bit childish, but it helps the soul accept the finality of death, awaken the right memories, and find tangled knots...

COGNITIVE-BEHAVIORAL THERAPY

Together, we'll try to find your negative thought patterns, try to change (reframe) them, and then build a new story.
